Oh Such Gifts

Henderson born and raised, Lois Osuch can remember sitting for hours talking to her hair dresser about how she always wanted to open up a gift shop. She would discuss the unique items she would sell and how the store would be a one-of-a-kind place to pick up just the right gift for any occasion.

It was in 2007 that Lois’ hairdresser, Shannon Clements, the owner of Element Salon on Water Street, suggested that Lois make her dream a reality. She suggested Lois open the wall in the waiting area of the hair salon and construct the shop right next door. Soon after, Oh Such Gifts was created.

The store has everything from car coasters to decorated purses to key finders. Creatively-decorated martini glasses and beer steins with special cases and imaginative wine corks line the shelves. Oh Such Gifts even offers surprise gift baskets, Salt City candles and atypical picture frames, as well as hand made cards. Lois provides free gift wrapping to add that special touch to the perfect gift.

“It has been a little dream of mine to have a quaint gift shop where there are different things that you can’t find anywhere else,” Lois said. “We have people come in all the time because they don’t know what to buy someone for a birthday or a holiday, and they find just the right thing. It just pops out at them.”

Oh Such Gifts is open Tuesday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. and on Saturday from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.
