Planning and designing projects across the state of Nevada for more than 25 years, RAFI Architecture recognizes the importance of redeveloping cities and restoring the vibrancy and energy of neighborhoods. When looking to relocate its corporate offices, the company felt it was important to move its offices to a redevelopment area and thoughtfully chose downtown Henderson, opening their office in the heart of Henderson on Water Street.

Since relocating to the Meridian office building, the company has embraced Henderson and the Water Street District’s sense of community by participating in major events, hosting one of Library Tree Lane’s largest fundraisers to support Henderson Libraries, creating floats for annual parades, and taking part in the weekly Farmers Market. RAFI Architecture considers its office location as having “box seats” for all the major happenings and cultural events along Water Street and often holds gatherings in its office to take advantage of its streetfront view of Water Street.

RAFI has been selected as the designer for many projects located in Henderson throughout the years and some large-scale projects of note include the design for the Henderson District Public Libraries master plan and the master plan design for the College of Southern Nevada campuses, one of which is located in Henderson. The firm also has designed many of the libraries and was the original designer of City Hall and the Convention Center in Henderson. RAFI has come full circle as the firm has been selected to remodel the Henderson Convention Center, which is slated to begin when the local economy improves.

RAFI is a multifaceted planning, architecture, and urban design firm specializing in providing comprehensive client services for advanced planning, real estate evaluations, programming, site planning and the design of long-range master planned facilities, places and towns. Dr. Robert A. Fielden, NCARB, FAIA and Laura Jane Spina, RID are the senior firm principals, and Jane Fielden is founder of Fielden & Partners, an affiliated company and a well-known interior design firm. Both companies are in their second generation.

RAFI Architecture is committed to playing a significant role in the revitalization of the downtown area. The company is currently a member of the Water Street District Business Association. Laura Jane sits serves as president of the Friends of the Henderson Libraries and recently was appointed to the Redevelopment Agency Advisory Commission. Robert sits on the Henderson Collaborative Healthcare Campus Coalition Board.
