In 2009, the City of Henderson and the Water Street District welcomed the opening of Lake Mead Crossing at the intersection of Lake Mead Parkway and Water Street in downtown Henderson. This new 700,000 square foot retail center provides to residents and those who work in the area a shopping and dining experience not previously available with a Target, Ross, Staples, and Petsmart. With the doom and gloom of current economic conditions on many people’s minds, Lake Mead Crossing is breaking through, and the retailers happy with performance to date, either meeting or exceeding company projections. Since opening with the original anchors a host of businesses have joined the ranks including; Hallmark, Radio Shack, El Polo Loco, Subway, GNC, and T-Mobile. 2010 is continuing the parade of businesses recognizing the synergy of this center and the value that can be realized in our current economic market. Carl’s Jr. is going vertical at present and Discount Tire is slated to break ground soon. A jewel will be added to the center this summer when the new Henderson Library opens making this a true community gathering place unlike anything else in the valley.
Come join us in the Water Street District and make Our History Your Future.
