ArtBeat Presented by is a FREE cultural series incorporating family-friendly activities that celebrate and educate the community on diverse world arts, entertainment and traditions with art displays, crafts, demonstrations and concerts beginning at 8 p.m. in the Henderson Events Plaza, 200 S. Water Street, in the Water Street District. Scheduled performance months include April, May, June, September and October.

St. Patrick’s Day Parade and Festival

Celebrate the luck of the Irish with the 44th annual “Southern Nevada Sons of Erin” St. Patrick’s Day Parade. This year’s parade will be accompanied by four days of electrifying holiday celebrations including a carnival, festival, car show and great live entertainment.

Bring the family and enjoy the Irish excitement in the Water Street District!

Henderson Heritage Parade and Festival

Over 25,000 people attended the Henderson Heritage Parade & Festival on April 17, which celebrated the city’s 57-year history, rich traditions and community spirit. More than 70 parade entries, including local schools, organizations and community leaders, marched down the mile-long route through the Water Street District from Ocean Avenue to Victory Road. They were led by UNLV Runnin’ Rebels head basketball coach, Lon Kruger, who served as parade grand marshal.

ArtFest

The annual ArtFest™ of Henderson has been a Mother’s Day weekend tradition for over 10 years! The event features more than 150 booths with select artists from across the nation displaying and selling stunning artwork from paintings to pottery, jewelry to photography and much more. Other festival features include live entertainment, delicious foods, Kids’ Gallery and other fun activities. FREE parking and FREE admission.

Plus, watch trained artists create chalk materpieces using the Henderson Events Plaza as their canvas. Don’t miss these beautiful, vibrant chalk creations!

Ho’olaule’a Pacific Islands Festival

The Las Vegas Hawaiian Civic Club and the City of Henderson present The 20th Annual Prince Jonah Kuhio Ho’olaule’a. The event is a celebration of Hawaiian culture, song, dance, and food. For more information, call 702-267-2171.

Super Run Car Show

Car enthusiasts will cruise down memory lane admiring thousands of flashy street machines, hot rods, motorcycles and classic cars of yesteryears while enjoying other nostalgic festivities including contests, giveaways and live concerts. Performing Friday, September 24 on the main stage at 8 p.m. is Matthew & Gunnar Nelson paying tribute to their father’s musical legacy with “Ricky Nelson Remembered.” Entertainment for Saturday night will be announced soon.

Silverman

Branded as the toughest course in North America by “The Man” himself, Dave Scott, the Nevada Silverman attracts individuals and relay teams from around the world. The Nevada Silverman features full and half distance triathlons with over 12,000 feet and 6,000 feet elevation gain and breathtaking views during the most challenging swim, bike and run courses.

WinterFest

Each December, the Water Street District transforms into a winter wonderland for WinterFest. As one of the city’s largest holiday celebrations, WinterFest features three days of festive activities and entertainment including a tree lighting ceremony, ice skating, pony rides, Santa Claus visits and parade.

Women of Water Street

Women of Water Street – an emerging network of women connected by their dedication to the community and their presence in the Water Street District – held their inaugural wine tasting event on October 7, 2010. Special Guests Jacob and Cheryl Snow shared their plans to move to Water Street and the Regional Transportation Commission’s plans to bring Bus Rapid Transit to Water Street.
