MISSION
Established in 2012, the Downtown Residential Civic Alliance is a community-based alliance dedicated to preserve and enhance the quality of life in Downtown Henderson, and help shape the future of the neighborhood.
VISION
The Downtown Residential Civic Alliance is an effective, informed, engaged, action-based group that is proactive in improving the quality of life. The Alliance will seek to be a valued voice by:
i. Encouraging pride and integrity in the appearance of our homes, and positive relationships with our neighbors;
ii. Providing a unified voice to the City of Henderson to influence policy that betters the community;
iii. And, working with the City of Henderson to foster the type of development growth that meets the character and pedestrian friendly elements of Downtown.
The priorities identified by the Downtown Residential Civic Alliance are: maintaining the safety and security of the neighborhood; code compliance and property maintenance; fostering a sense of community pride amongst neighbors; engaging absentee landlords; holding community clean-up events; maintaining historical elements of the Water Street District; promoting the neighborhood to draw in new residents; and providing a unified voice to the City of Henderson to influence policy that betters the community.
