Join a Committee
There are many ways that you can get involved with the Water Street District Business Association. The best way is to join a committee and be actively involved in the revitalization of the Water Street District. There are four committees to choose from:
Visioning and Advocacy Committee
Chaired by Emerald Island Owner Tim Brooks, this committee serves as the visionaries and advocates for the organization, educates existing businesses and potential investors, and provides a voice for Downtown with government, business, and community leaders. This group sets goals and plans for future growth and meets regularly with the Henderson Chamber of Commerce and other local business associations.

Membership Committee
Chaired by KG&R Bookkeeping Solutions owner Lupe Alba, the Membership Committee focuses on potential, new and current members. This group uses diverse communication tools to recruit and educate potential members about the benefits of membership.

Arts and Social Events Committee
The Arts and Social Events Committee is chaired by Laura Jane Spina with RAFI Architecture. This group actively promotes a positive image for the Water Street District to attract consumers and investors to live, work, shop, play and invest in Water Street through social gatherings, events and retail promotions.

Residents Committee
Now being formed is the Residents Committee, which will help rally support from the surrounding community to improve the overall quality of Downtown as well as to be the voice representing homeowner and consumer interests to the WSDBA board and government entities. Such a voice will impact the direction the Water Street District takes as a whole, while also improving the lives of all downtown residents. Potential activities for this committee include organizing Neighborhood Watch programs, neighborhood clean-ups, promoting the Homeowners Assistance Program, but members will have the opportunity to define their own objectives. You must live in the Downtown Redevelopment Area to be a part of this committee.
