Feel like Chinese food today? Rose Garden is the perfect place to dine-in or order out your favorite Chinese dish or to a try a new one. Sole owner and operator Mei Kai has brought the flavors of her home country all the way to Water Street. Her first Chinese restaurant in the states was on Spring Mountain Road in China Town. She moved her restaurant to the Water Street District to take the fast-paced atmosphere down a notch so she could know her customers by name and provide more personalized service.
The first impression of the Rose Garden restaurant is welcoming right from the start with a warm greeting from the employees, who are all friends, including Peter Mann the general manager/chef/host. Everyone greets you with a smile. Mei’s ultimate goal is to offer a friendly environment while serving healthy Chinese cuisine. And she does just that, as there is no msg in the food and the chef uses very little oil.
Specializing in sauces and chicken dishes, the Rose Garden Chinese Cuisine offers combination boxes that include: soup, salad, entree and fruit. Make sure you taste the signature Curry Puff and the Spicy Fish Filet. Or stay with the traditional Egg Flour Soup, Kung Pao Shrimp, Mai Goo Pan, Sweet and Sour Chicken or Mongolian Beef. Rose Garden also offers a lunch special for about $5 and it comes with soup, egg roll, curry puff, fried or steamed rice, and an entrée.
The Rose Garden Chinese Cuisine is open seven days a week from 11:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. and is available for dine-in, carry-out, delivery or catering.
