Water Street Celebrates its Fifth
Public Art Display
“Promise” is the City’s newest mural painted on the east wall of the Rainbow Club Casino facing Water Street, and is a colorful depiction that celebrates the City’s history, its milestones and the promising future of Henderson. The elements of the mural include the historic Basic Magnesium Industries gear, sunrise found in the City’s seal and the apple in the man’s hand from the All People Promoting Literacy Efforts Partnership (APPLE) program, each of which are all representations of Henderson’s growth over the past 50 years. “The allowance and support of this project we believe continues to ring out a message of hope that has been a cornerstone throughout the history of Henderson. The promise of continued growth for its bright future in harmony with its commerce, culture and community as a place to call home,” said Ozzy Villate, creator of the Promise mural, a local artist and the owner of OzArt Studio.
