This Water Street joint got its name from back in the day when UNLV was playing hoops at the Convention Center from the ‘60s to the ‘80s. The 1977 Runnin’ Rebels was the first to make the Final Four. The team would eventually grow into Tark the Shark’s powerhouse that ultimately landed the 1990 championship. That ‘77 team was known as the “Hardway 8”, and the bartops are surfaced with the wood from those same Convention Center bleachers.
